A stain does not have to mean a ruined carpet. Coffee on an office carpet, mulled wine in an entrance or chewing gum in a corridor: the chances improve when you act promptly and use the right method.
1. Act immediately. The fresher a stain is, the better the chance of removing it completely.
2. Work from the outside in. This helps keep the stain from spreading over a larger area.
3. Use the right product for the stain. Grease, protein and chewing gum need different treatments. Test on an inconspicuous area first and follow the instructions.
